Well, I’m here chilling at the studio hanging out w/ my good friends in the band Truck while the work on their first professionally produced album. Actually there are quite a few of us here drinking and hanging out during this surprisingly mundane process.
The only thing that makes this tolerable is the fact that everyone is drunk. Except for the sound “technicians,” they have been smoking out of either a really big bowl or the smallest bong I have ever seen. I guess the music industry is one of the last remaining jobs in the modern world where it’s not only acceptable, but encouraged to be fucked up while doing your “job.”
Nonetheless we are all here to have fun.
Another thing to point out is the utter sketchiness of the outside of this recording studio. By day the place serves as the office of some dudes that do government contracting and produce music at night. In fact I think one of the owners just arrived to drink some beer with us…. Yep, he just took a bowl/bong hit.
In the time it took for me to write his entrance he managed to take a bong/bowl hit and take a beer and somehow proceed to spill it all over the place. I’m not really sure the physics of this entire scenario fully check out. However, I guess it paints some sort of picture…. And the contents of that picture are entirely up to you.
Where was I again? Oh yeah. I’m here. well I guess that’s all for now. I’ll add a few pics later on, and maybe a little video from the stu-studio sessions.
