This is my first blog post using Google Docs to write a post then publish it to my blog. This is a very cool idea. I typically use word to write up a post, at least a post that is more than a few sentences to make sure that I don’t misspell simple words so that I don’t sound like a complete idiot.
What is really cool is that the post to a blog feature supports many different blog and cms platforms. Definitely cool.
Update: I use Wordpress hosted on my own website. The title of the Google Doc is supposed to serve as the title of the post however that didn’t carry over to the blog. Also, to categorize the post you are supposed to tag it with a category name that you already have. However, I didn’t see how to tag the Google Doc… so it just went into my default posting category. I’m a little less impressed than I was before. Oh well, I guess it will get better.
