A little too close for comfort: Did Read It Later rip off Plex?
Recently, Read It Later underwent a total redesign including a logo redesign. It was immediately clear to me that this logo looked a little too much like that of Plex.
Read It Later is an offline/online application that allows you to save web pages to view later. [website]
Plex is an open source media center application for the Mac. Which basically kicks ass. [website]
It just seems really weird to me how much the RIL branding looks so much like Plex. Even the favicons of the sites are almost indistinguishable.

I know that the right arrow thingy > isn't anything out of the ordinary, but the colors and everything seem to be eerily close. Even when laid on top of one another the logos fit together nicely.

The fact of the matter is that Plex announced it's new logo August 15, 2008, and RIL on December 14, 2009.
What are your thoughts?

Terrible logo regardless

Are you serious? The reason
Are you serious? The reason it looks similar is because it's a chevon, you know, this character: »
Take that character into Photoshop and layer it over the others like you did in any number of fonts and it'll look exactly the same way. Same size, same angle.
