Testing Out Windows Live Writer

I'm writing this post on the new Windows Live Writer. Basically Windows live writer is a free XML-RPC blogging client. Which basically means that you can have a program on your computer, and you can write posts for your blog while you are offline and you can post them right through the program.

So far I'm very impressed. It has support for spell checking and other convenient features you would find in Word. One thing that seems to be quite nice is that this will automatically upload pictures that I place in a post to my blog. Also I noticed that it copies the CSS file from my blog so that it will show you exactly how the post will look once it's uploaded.

I got wind of this application while listening to the podcast Windows Weekly.

So I guess all that's left is to publish this post and see how it goes!

Holy crap! I just took the screen shot of this and put it on the page and you can add drop shadow and other effects automatically! That is quite awesome!.
