Ubuntu Studio

Ubuntu Studio 1

One of the best things I've done since I've upgraded my laptop to Vista has been to turn the 10 Gig restore partition into a Linux Partition. I first installed the 64 bit version of Ubuntu, talk about fast! However there weren't too many programs made to work on a 64bit OS so I switched over to the 32bit version of Ubuntu.
I have been very happy with Gutsy Gibbon. I just learned yesterday about a new fork of the Ubuntu Linux, one that comes preloaded with many visual and audio design applications pre-configured.

This is of course Ubuntu Studio. I'm going to wait until I have a litte free time before making the switch to the Ubuntu Studio version. But I'm very excited about it's potential. One of the things that I think have held many people back about Linux has been it's lack of support for visual/design capabilities and aesthetics.

I dunno about you, but I'm excited.
