Simple Question: When does Heroes start?

Answer: September 22, 2008 9PM EST

Since the stupid writer's strike (November '07 - February '08) television has been pretty boring because many shows cancelled or cut their seasons short. Leaving many of us scratching our heads, asking "When the hell is Heroes starting back up"?

Well I wanted to know just that, I don't watch NBC that much other than 30 Rock which has been in between seasons for a while now. I just got a new DVR when I switched from COX to Verizon FIOS and I'm worried that I will miss some of my favorite shows b/c they aren't set to record yet. I can't do it ahead of time because It must be in the guide which only shows a few days in advance.

So I went looking to find the answer to that very simple question. It was quite difficult to find. Difficult in the sense that NBC, in particular, didn't make this obvious at all on their website. I guess I give 'Old Media' too much credit for having the sense to actually put what day the new season starts. So lets have a look at their website.

So where does it say when the new season starts? Well at the way bottom down there it says Welcome to Level 5... where evil resides. Heroes: Villains premieres Monday 9.22.08. That's just the caption of the video thing. So what does that mean? Is that one of those webisodes that they had earlier in the year?

Furthermore Nowhere on the busy and poorly designed page does it say that that towards the top there are rollover buttons with enormous drop down lists which I found by accident. You can see that in the next screen shot.

Heroes terrible web design

I've spent too much time on this I know; the only place I found the actual answer spelled out simply and succinctly was the Heroes Wikipedia entry.
