How to login to PayPal with Multi-User Access

tags:

Simply put, after you create the multi-user account (assigning them a username and password) they can login in with that information into PayPal. The PayPal login box says E-Mail Address; just enter the username instead, and then the corresponding password.

I spent over an hour online because the accountant said they tried this but couldn't log on. I figured there might be an alternate location for the person to login to or something, but PayPal in it's infinite wisdom neglected to give any sort of information on how the 'multi-user' user should go about logging in.

This is a perfect example of how the simplest explanation is typically the correct one.

re no doubt

WOW, I hear you.. I have spent hours trying to add a second bank account to a paypal business account [under a different name than the account owner]...

I think that the paypal site is the worst user experience I have ever had.. Possibly the worst UI ever created. Every field is validated sooo many times it's got to be one of the most frustrating online experiences.

If there are any designers at paypal they should be ashamed! Its an atrocity for such a huge company to be so far behind in user experience!

Ok Im done[: Cheers,
Justin

Amazon is pretty bad too, I tried to setup an online store through there for my dad, it was a huge pain as well!

I agree, kind of stupid of them to note just 'Email address' there. ;) But luckily I figured it should be the place for my first multi-user access account so I gave it a try and it worked.

I just had to look this up so that's proof right there that their form isn't clear enough. Thanks for the post... it saved me some time!

This seriously helped. why is paypal so retarded that they cant have a short little blurb about also being able to use multi user login instead of an e-mail -.-

I had the same confusion. I

I had the same confusion. I tried just the username first. When it did not work, I thought I needed the e-mail address (although I knew I had not given the user's e-mail address when I signed them up with Paypal). I finally figured out that I was typing the password differently than was necessary.
