shopperdiscountsandrewards.com is a scam

I bought some posters from allposters.com a while back, 9 months to be exact, and after I bought the posters I was given the option to sign up for shopper discounts. Everything seemed pretty legit since allposters.com was pushing it. So I was like what the hell…

Well, 9 months later while looking over my credit card bill I noticed a $9 charge to Shopperdiscount.com I was like what the hell is that for? So I did some digging and I noticed that I had been charged for this thing as far back as January of ’06. So I was pretty steamed, I called the number that I found conveniently in my credit card report. I easily and quickly canceled my “account.” At no time did I ever give these bastards my credit card information, but the still got it from allposters.com!

It turns out this company is able to skim below the radar b/c they have good customer service and let you off pretty easily. I even sent in a complaint email to their customer service and they got back to me the next day. They are even refunding me all the money that they took from me. That hasn’t happened yet, but I won’t hold my breath.

If you happen to come under this scam, just call the customer service, and cancel it. Then send an email to them complaining about their unfair practices and such. You will hopefully be able to get your money back.

I’ve learned my lesson and I’m going to pay closer attention to my credit card bill every month. I figured I would just put this out there just in case…

I had similar problems with interflora and so did a lot of others by the looks of it

I just found out that i had been scammed for two years! I always thought that my wife was purchasing some item, $12 items every month. Went to my bank to cancel my debeit visa card and to see what my banker can do for me. Also cancelled my/THEIR membership.
Sent an e-mail about what i thought about them. My bank statements made it look just like an ordinary purchases!! These people got to be stopped. I'm in the process of looking up B.B.B..

Watch out folks.. this company pulled my information from www.movietickets.com and have been billing me for almost a year... I finally figured it out when it sent my account negative, and I also had to pay a $35.00 NSF fee... For what?.. for nothing... they claim to offer discounts, and rewards.. but it's a bunch of horse pucky.. I've never seen an email, snail mail, or received a phone call informing me of my "benefits"... If you see "Shopper Discount" or anything like that on a statement, you too have been robbed... While I agree that their customer service was on point.. they were too on point if you catch my drift... also, they offered a 4 month refund right off the bat.. to get the difference, I had to fill out an unauthorized charge affidavid... and mail it to them.. I think I will call back and make some more noise as I feel I was robbed... I will also report to the BBB that they are gaining access to our financial information without our consent.. I am about to contact Movie Tickets to inform them that I will never use their services again, based on the fact that they would work with such a shady client..
